Our Vision and Mission
The foundation's objectives focus on meeting the industry's existing and future needs for a diverse, multilayered, optimally trained workforce.
The Maryland Hospitality Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 1994 by The Restaurant Association of Maryland, leading industry employers and educators. MHEF serves as the preferred source of education training, resources and research for Maryland's thriving hospitality and tourism industries. The foundation's objectives focus on meeting the industry's existing and future needs for a diverse, multilayered, optimally trained workforce. Today, MHEF is building upon its blueprint to address industry needs for information, communication, entry level and professional workforce development. The foundation is recognized nationally and locally for its ability to address opportunities, develop strategic alliances, attract resources, implement plans and expand educational outreach to owners, managers, paraprofessionals, students, educators and the dining public.
