Improving Communication
Good communication is hospitality. Designed for hospitality professionals (Key Employees – Managers) this class is a working exercise in communication. Participants will explore the messages they send through verbal and non-verbal channels. They will learn how to overcome obstacles to good communication. Games and challenges utilized in the class will give the participants practice in giving and sending messages and using active-listening techniques.
CORE OUTCOMES – Participants should be able to:
- Identify and avoid roadblocks to successful communication
- Use both body and voice as positive tools when communicating
- Speak clearly and simply so that the message is understood
- Apply active listening skills
- Apply proper phone skills
