Crisis Management

            Crucial to crisis management is the ability to identify and evaluate a crisis.  The crisis management course designed for hospitality professionals is useful for key employees through upper management.  Participants will evaluate sample crisis situations and learn how to evaluate priorities during a crisis.  Crisis reporting and communication will also be modeled.  The class culminates with role playing mock-crises and a debriefing.

 

CORE OUTCOMES – Participants should be able to:

  • Identify if a situation is a crisis
  • Understand the next step in an escalating situation
  • Evaluate the potential harm to person or property
  • Contact appropriate emergency services in the event of a crisis
  • Complete a safety inspection of their building
