It's difficult to improve productivity when your expectations don't exceed the level of performances you're already getting. It's better to shoot for the moon, motivating employees, keeping the job fresh, and following up to negate the formation of bad habits. Effective managers tend to avoid these two critical mistakes:
-Not challenging employees. The result? They get bored and often feel like they're wasting their time. It won't take long before they're contemplating a change of scenery.
-Under-supervising employees. If you give them too much freedom in the execution of their jobs, you run the risk of bad habits forming without the opportunity to make corrections.
