Catering to Kids: Providing a Family Friendly Environment

Document Actions
Very basic, yet very important tips:

-Include kid friendly items on your menu; macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.
-Make childrens food easy to eat. Finger foods work best; chicken fingers, popcorn shrimp, french fries, etc.
-Offer a variety of childrens food...after all, children are very picky as to what they like, and not every child likes macaroni and cheese.
-Offer reasonable prices for childrens food; usually under $5.00, and sometimes under $3.00. Consider allowing children to eat free at your restaurant.
-Make sweets visible to children. Kids are more likely to eat their dinner if they know they are getting dessert only after they finish it.
-Be physically prepared for children. Have highchairs, diaper changing stations, cups with lids, etc.
-Because children are inpatient, serve the children as soon as their meal is ready, even if the accompanying adults meals aren't.
