How to Boost Private Party Business

Document Actions

-Encourage customers to schedule their parties on slow days. Tell them that when a restaurant is less crowded, they will get better service, and, in some cases, a better price.

-Consider charging extra for the privilege of using a private room, or using a cordoned off section of the bar.

Ā -Change your advertisment in the telephone directory to mention your expertise as a private-party host.

-Create a contract that lists party options and make it available to your private party customers. Arrange options such as price, facilities and food in a standard format, so your staff is easily able to convey information over the phone to interested customers.

-Delegate a staff member to be the private party planner, so they get an intimate knowledge of what will be expected at the party.

-Staff parties appropriately.

-Do everything to make the affair memorable. Strive to exceed the customers expectations. Studies show that the best advertising for private parties comes from word of mouth, so make sure your customers walk away with a sense of being special and supremely satisfied.
