10. Communicates with student intern at least 10 to 15 minutes per week. (Longer when necessary)

9. Communicates with the teacher or coordinator when a problem or question about the program arises.

8. Volunteers to speak in class, offer a site-visit, or professional development opportunity to the student's teacher whenever possible.

7. Tracks student's workplace competencies on a regular basis.

6. Acts as an advocate and disseminates information about the School to Career program at his/her workplace, with peers and industry.

5. Explains why job experience and/or post-secondary education is the next step to a successful career.

4. Provides student with a letter of recommendation on completion of internship. (if appropriate)

3. Communicates to the students the tremendous value of the opportunity they are being presented.

2. Understands the purpose of "rotation" --- this program was designed to engage and keep students in the hospitality industry.
